Impact Charity is pleased to announce the opening of a second shop in La Marina. The shop will concentrate purely on EMAUS children's home Elche...Caritas.. "food for the needy La Marina / San Fulgencio. People may say "not another charity shop", well this shop is a first of its kind in La Marina / San Fulgencio.  When  the council started  "food for the  needy" we have being asking customers to drop off food donations for which Impact Charity added to the appeal,  and took part in the Bay Radio 5 km walk for caritas. With the amount of groups Impact Charity donates to it was not sustainable to continue with just one shop. What we hope by opening this new shop is by being able to donate more money to the animal groups we support. As we will dedicate one shop for the animals and one shop for the  people. It is in Impact Charities constitution that we can assist people as well as animals.
Everyone will remember the old SATS shop under the laundrette on the top of the strip by  cagneys bar. This is where the new shop will be based. Yes it will be a risk but the offer was to good o turn down. The shop will open on the 1st of October
We will be hoping to work with the council and liaise with the social services. The shop will also serve as a food bank. If any emergencies arise with anyone needing food immideatley.
We are asking the members of the public to help in anyway they can.. Food donations, clothes bric-a-brac furniture anything you can think of we will need. We will be making a appeal to the Spanish public too as many of them try and help caritas I some way or another.
This shop will in no way be related to animal welfare, the animal welfare side will continue at our main shop opposite soterins.  We are hoping  by doing this we will be able donate more money to all these groups by having two shops working towards there own separate goals.
We are looking for volunteers, we will be looking for a manager to run the shop in the same manner as our main shop is run if anyone is interested please pop in to the main shop and ask for Trevor or Christine.   This will include arranging fund raising, liasing with the council and Caritas

If anyone has donations of any kind please pop them in to the main shop. Food, clothes bric-a-brac. If you have any un-wanted furniture this can be picked up.

JUST TO LET EVERYONE KNOW. THIS MONDAY ALL CLOTHES WILL BE €1 EURO.
