 This week the Clubs Annual Fir and Feather Match was held on the Eden Canal at Guardamar. It was 3.5.C when we arrived, but reached 20C later in the day.
 
 There was no flow on the river and dead flat, which made fishing very difficult.
 The winner was Barry Homer.
 
 In second place was Ian Air, third was Ian Dalzell and fourth Dave Hill.
 
 For the final match of 2012, the venue will be decided at Sundays meeting and will be posted on the Club website.
 
 At the Christmas Quiz held on 11th December, the President presented a cheque for 710€ on behalf of the Club, to Senoras Matilda Sanchez and Judy Ferris of the A.F.A Torrevieja (Alzheimers Association).
 
 The next Quiz night will be held on January 15th 2013.The next Sunday Meeting is on January20th.
 
 Carp-R-Us Angling and Social Club holds numerous fishing matches throughout the year. Many of our members also go out in groups fishing for pleasure. There is also a full social calendar, and fishing trips away to other parts of Spain.
 
 The Club is based at The Bar El Alto La Dolores which is situated just off the N332 near to the Repsol garage, between La Mata and Guardamar.
