# CONSUM Bars & Noise

Been reading back on this forum and another forum about the noise issue.  Basically it just boils down to mainly just 2 areas, one being the bars at the Consum Car park.  
 The Bars on the upper level caused the problem historically.  The likes of The RoJo and the Bars along the row to The Final Whistle gave the residents a lot of serious grief, as their terraces overlooked peoples homes so any noise was going to cause a problem.  However to be fair to these Bars,  I think the  current owners do try and control this noise, not always perfect, but I think they do try. But in the main it's the bars on the lower level, that cause most of the problems.  
 
 First and foremost we have the HogsHead who is obviously well in with the Council, say no more, this guy does what he wants, and the Chinese whispers/La Marina gossip is the Mayor is frightened to go up against him as this will upset a certain Polish councillor, nuff said. 
 
 Next on the list of problems is the opening hours, why O why does this Council allow bars to apply for a licence with a 5am closing time?  The Irish Bar Chief O Neils, BarBar, (this was Poppies) stay open basically all night,  I should add that when the customers leave these bars “obviously stone cold sober” they often like to brag and demonstrate about their family tree and relationship to Alonso, these intoxicated drivers take great delight in their wheel screeching departure with engines screaming at max revs….  These type of bars have no business being located amongst peoples homes. It is impossible to understand just how much disturbance these bars cause to peoples life, yet if anyone dare complain about these activities then some pillock on this forum labels them moaners.   
 
 Spainlover talked about Vandalism as being as problem.  YES IT IS, street signs broken, the mirror on Calle Berna/Monaco smashed, letterboxes broken, bottles and glasses thrown over garden walls, dog shit in post boxes, car wiper blades broken, cars keyed. People being sick against garden walls, urinating up against property, I could go on, people living in close proximity to the Consum Bars will be fully aufait will the majority of these activities.  
 Reading back on here, someone said phone the Police, JOKE, they do nothing, when did they ever fine a bar or close a Bar down, they do as our council tells them, basically NOTHING.  Why should we have to phone the Police anyway, they should be actively patrolling the area anyway.  I know I am wrong referring to our Police as a JOKE, however, during the summer the Police patrolled the area on Motobikes, don’t think noise level was an issue as they had crash hats on.
