 Captains_Dinner

A beautiful day, a course in good condition (despite many rumours) and members in high spirits, all the ingredients for a good day’s golf. 23 members gathered at El Plantio to take part in what is one of Captain Alan Smith’s last duties.

The day consisted of a 9 hole individual Stableford on the Par 3 course followed by bacon baguettes and coffee and finally, the main competition of the day which was an 18 hole Individual Stableford.

Running within that was the final of the Individual Knockout competition which was contested by Elspeth Craig and Mick Cook. On this occasion Mick was triumphant although congratulations must also be extended to Elspeth for her achievements in reaching the final.

In the evening members and their wives met at the La Marina Sports & Social Centre for a enjoyable 3 course meal, prepared by Paolo, Helena & their staff followed by the presentation of the prizes. The captain then put his stamp on the evening by holding a table game which kept everyone completely entertained. A great evening was had by all.
