We live on El Oasis. We've just come home and as we parked outside our home, on a one way street a young chap pulled up next to us going in the opposite direction (wrong way on a one way street).
 He was holding a leaflet and asked me where there was a pharmacy open in La Marina. I told him there were none open on a Sunday and got out of the car asking my husband to direct him into town. He handed my husband a leaflet, which we thought was a map but turned out to be from Alicante, and as my husband was looking at it he tried to grab my husband's wallet from out of his shirt pocket. My husband resisted, holding onto his wallet,a married man's natural instinct by which time I realised what was happening and  was round our car and gave him a smack.  The engine of his car was running and a driver at the wheel and the door open so he jumped in the car and sped off.
 I'm ashamed to say we didn't get the number as I was in shock, but the cheeky little sod laughed at us as he sped away. I can only say he was probably early 20's. Nice clean looking boy, looked Spanish, but that means nothing. They were in a small white car and had come the wrong way up a one way street so we couldn't have followed them as we would have had to turn our car.
 I suspect the reason they came to my side was because they thought if I got out of the car my handbag would have been available for them.
