This week saw 13 of the Clubs match anglers fish the first round of the Spring series, on the River Segura in Murcia town centre.
 
  This is the venue of the regional under 14´s , the under 18´s and the under 23´s championships  to be fished on Saturday the 31st of March, and on Sunday the 1st of April, the regional Senior and Ladies fish-offs from the event held on the 5th of February organised by the Murcian Federation.
 
 Winner on the day- back after his trip to exotic venues, was Ian Dalzell with 8.44kg, using the feeder. Second was Derek King with 6.66 kg also using the feeder.  In third place was Dave Hill with 2.56kg and fourth was Pete Kerr with 2.46 kg.
 
 The venue for the  next match in the series will be confirmed at the meeting this Sunday.
 
  Thanks must go to Roy and Angela for the social event held at the Majal camp-site in Guardamar on the 24th of February. Thanks to the Chef and staff and not forgetting the music of Peter Hull.
 
 Next Tuesday sees the Clubs AGM starting at 7.30pm, light refreshments will be available.
 
  Tuesday the 13th of March is the next of the Clubs Quiz nights, starting at 7.30pm- cost of entrance is 1 Euro per person and teams of up to 6 or less can take part. A raffle is held to pay for the buffet that is provided.
 
  The first meeting after the AGM will be on Sunday the 18th of March with the Committee at 10.00am with the meeting following at 11.00.
 
  The Bar in conjunction with the Club are holding a St Patrick’s night event on Saturday the 17th of March.The full special menu is just 8 Euros per person, starting at 7.30pm.
 
 The Club meets at the Bar El Alto La Dolores which is just off the roundabout near the Repsol garage on the N332 between La Mata and Guardamar.
