# Noise at the Bars

I have been a “lurker” I think you call it on here for quite some time, unfortunately my first ever post is about the consum bars.
 
 Sorry to post this on here, however it does look like the one forum that some of the Bar owners use.
 
 Last night the problem with noise from the bars on the Consum shopping area was way above any legal limit.  We had to keep all our doors and windows shut in order to hear our own TV, let alone think about getting any sleep. 
 
 When we took our dog for a walk towards the bars I was amazed to find, that the Irish bar had the doors open, as did the Hog’s Head, and the George had some type of “thump thump” machine, yet again with the doors open, and here was I thinking that after god knows how many years of sufferance, the Police were going to visit and crack down. Well not last night.
 
 Late night bars should be moved to the edge of the urb, Bars in amongst homes should be forced to stop all noise at Midnight,  some of us would like a normal night’s sleep.
