nerja town centre is full of character with its narrow winding streets in the old part of town and its more modern side to the west where you will also find the pretty Verano Azul Park. One of the main focal points of the town is the beautiful Balcon de Europa, named by King Alfonso XII, because of its magnificent views. It is also home to the 17 th Century El Salavador Church. The Balcon now is a popular meeting place, with its many cafes and street artists.

The town has numerous tapas bars, restaurants and shops. Many of the towns beaches and coves are within easy walking distance. The houses in the town centre range from the older townhouses and apartments to the new apartment blocks most of which have been constructed in the last 5 years.
