Sponsored by Ticket to travel and CBS Bowls. LA MARINA ASTRONAUGHTS - This week we were up against Country Bowls Flamingos at home, the result was 6 points to 8 with a very close shot difference of 103 to La Marina and 106 to the Flamingos, great try you Astronaughts, only just missing out on the extra 2 points.

3 winning teams were Loreta Rae, Dave Willas and John Rae 16-13 Reg Jackson, Jacl Chorlton and George Chambers 23-20, but highest rink were Dave Mcgaw, Martin Butler and Don Harrison.

 LA MARINA PATHFINDERS

Another 6 points to 8 for us against Monte Mar Matadors at home, shots were 88-109

Three winning teams were Mo Taylor Peter Bailey and Dave Taylor 16-15,

But there were two teams who won by the same 4 shot difference …

They were Steve Douglas, Mike Stone and Captain Steve Hindle 17-13 and Mo Barker, Chris Green and skip Terry Perchard 18-14 .

 LA MARINA EXPLORERS

What can I say…….a mighty win by 14 points to nil, maybe it was the stern words from our captain, (although I don’t think so,) that made the difference against San Luis Trekkers . Scores were Ron Maiden, Wendy Latham and Bobbie Sims 20-14

Chris Webb, Alex Whyte and Jim Manning 17-14 Roger Stacey, Peter Parsons and Barry Latham 23-11 Frank Polak, Phil Pape and Alan Castle 15-11

Jim Reeves, Dave Williams and Dave Lewis 25-10, but just making top spot again by just 1 shot of 30-14 were Kathy Manning Barry Sadler and skip Bill Sims…

The shot difference was 130 to La Marina and 74 to San Luis.

 LA MARINA DOLPHINS

Looks like it was a tight contest against the San Luis Tigers for you all today,5 points for La Marina and 9 to San Luis but the closest of shot difference there could be, 115-116, unlucky you Dolphins. Martin Butler, Cliff Rawlinson and Brian Duff had a draw 17-17, Reg Jackson, Jack Chorlton and Bill Jones won by 26-24 Dave Mcgaw, John Rae and Dave Osullivan 26-14 made it 3 in a row, well done.

 LA MARINA SEAGULLS

Well here’s a first………our Seagulls were the first team to take 6 points away from La Manga Crusaders on their home turf, (so to speak) shot difference was 77-120.

3 great wins from Steve Douglas, Mike Stone and Steve Hindle 17-15,

Mo Taylor, Chris Green and Dave Taylor 22-18 but just squeezing top rink by 18-13 were Phillip Richmond, Berni Carr and Jim Freeman , good effort by everyone on a tough green.

 LA MARINA SHARKS

Our captain said he was happy with us today……that takes some doing!

We had a great morning’s bowling with some very close games across the board against a good team from San Luis.

Our points were 9-5 with only 9 shots difference overall La Marina 102 and San Luis 93. Dave Williams , Wendy Latham and Dave Lewis only lost by 1 shot on the last end 10-11 Kathy Manning Bill Sims and Alex Whyte were just beaten 17-20,

Janet Parsons, Barry Sadler and Bobbie Sims had a draw 22-22, but our winning rinks were Hilary Cronk, Ray Pollock and Roy Hart 15-13, Margaret Mclaughlin, Peter Parsons and Barry Latham 18-14 but top this week were Andy Bartlett, Martin Webb and Alan Castle 20-13 WELL DONE EVERYONE .

 Report by Bobbie Sims.

For information regarding La Marina, please contact Steve Hindle 966184360
 http://www.spain-info.co.uk/Bowls/7bowlslamarina.htm
