 Saturday Afternoon 7th April. La Marina Bowls Club were invited to send a Mixed Rink team to the Emerald Isle Bowls Club for the  Les McCracken Open competition, and I must congratulate Emerald Isle on a superbly run event, Congratulations to the team from Quesada Bowls Club for winning the Open, and we look forward to being invited again next year.
 
 Easter Sunday 8th April. La Marina held its Annual Easter bowls match.Their was some very good Easter Bonnets on Display (will the Leader print the picture). The winners were Mo Taylor, Joan Chiverton, Mike Brain, Barry Sadler. All got Big Easter Eggs (watch the waist line) A big thanks goes to Alex Whyte for organizing the event.
 
 Friday Morning 13th April. La Marina Navigators were at home to Greenlands Glosters winning on 2 Rinks. Reg Jackson, Mike Brain, Skip Bill Jones 19-12. Brenda Brain, Phil Pape, Skip Roy Hart 26-12. Shots La Marina Navigators 100 - Greenlands Glosters 115. Points La Marina Navigators 4 - Greenlands Glosters 10.
 
 Friday Morning 13th April La Marina Pilots were away to El Rancho winning on 2 Rinks and Drawing on 1 Rink. Hillary Ckonk, Dave Williams, Skip Dave Lewis 22-13. Ron Maiden, Arthur Cronk, Skip Peter Parsons 19-17, Janet Parsons, Steve Hindle, Skip Maureen Kidd 12-12. Shots La Marina Pilots 87 - El Rancho 113. Points La Marina Pilots 5 - El Rancho 9.
