How about a "castle in your back room"
Oliva
What do most people look for in a village home. Well, of course, it varies, but character is a common request as is charm and a quiet location and perhaps most common, outside space. This one has all and more. It's been renovated from tip to toe, both tastefully and sympathetically and really has a comfortable feel. The road is one where few cars pass and there's a terrace with superb views
Everyone knows the phrase "An Englishman's home is his castle", but in this case it could just be that the Castle is his home. This property is a real piece of Spanish history with a fabulous section of the old stone wall which formed part of the boundary walls to Oliva many years ago. Sadly my history is woefully insufficient to say how long ago, but sure as hell it was built to last.
I was thinking of writing something silly, but history got the better of me and has turned me all sensible all of a sudden. You now need to do the sensible thing and contact us to arrange a visit. You won't be disappointed; if you are I'll buy you a coffee, but I think my money's safe and the coffee's on you!
The house was originally three bedrooms, but one has been removed to make a really lovely landing area and allow all who pass to admire the stone work. The plan has left two very comfortable bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, whilst below there's the lounge and a very spacious kitchen diner with access out to a small patio which lets in lots of light and gives access to the "throne room". I can now bet that anyone who is not a native English speaker is wondering what the hell I'm on about, but you know don't you?
