jean & her husband have set this team up last year could use a bit of support in the way of finance ,it is helping to keep youngsters of the strret & out of trouble .the corner shop is by the computer shop in calle dublin.
We also have a Football league team in San Fulgencio who play in the second regional of Valencia. We won yesterday 3-2 and are in third position with ten games to go until the end of the season. We play on Sunday in the 'CAMPO NUEVO CAÑAVERAL-SAN FULGENCIO' which can be seen on the bypass to Rojales at 12.00 at home and the away games vary according to the home team.
It would be nice if we could get more supporters. The team started off as La Marina Football team quite a few years ago but changed the name to the town that support us. They say in Spain success breeds success so come and watch us.
Eugenio and Jean are doing a fantastic job with very little back-up or teams to play against.
If we come to support , What colours do they play in ?

Hi, Jean here from corner shop next to computer company, parque del danubio. We have had our little shop here for 17 years and last october thought to get a football team together for the urb. Our lads are over 18, live on the urb,(most born here)multi-national,good lads that i.m sure would like support from our locals. We bought them a strip for matches but some left and took strips so today we have got them some new shirts(white)for matches. We train, tuesdays and thursdays and this afternoon at 4 we have another friendly.We play at the new sand pitch down from the park calle monaco, road down to bottom(lidl, etc).Thanks for the comment on the coast rider ad.!!bye for now..
Welcome on board Jean. It would be interesting to hear from time to time how the lads are doing. Perhaps it would drum up a little more support for the team. On the subject of La Marina football, my son plays for the village team and they are always looking for new people to join.
If you have boys aged 10 or 11 and they would like to join a local team then why not go and have a look at one of the training sessions to find out more. These are normally held on Mondays and Thursdays from 17:00 for 2 hours on the sports area on your right as you drive round past the school.
The coach is Spanish of course and everything is in Spanish which probably won't be a problem for most children of that age. Most of the team are Spanish but there are a few British children who can help out with translation if needed.
They would welcome people of all abilities but could do with a little bit more talent than they currently have.
It's a 'professional' setup and they play in a local league, have proper training sessions and it's very friendly. It's a great way for parents to meet more local Spanish and to practice the language.
