I quite agree with you. I also had the same problem so e-mailed Steve (Boss man) 3 times yesterday. Plus I did ask him to please post an explanation as to why the forum was down for so long yesterday, as Ian and myself did not know the answer. Apologies everyone !!

Agree with you Peter,but how is anybody to know it will be back tomorrow,until somebody who does know,lets other people know

Agreed Alan,but how will other people let the others know it is back on if you cannot write on the page. The only thing to do is accept it and check occasionally. This happens to most websites at one time or another. Esta Viva!

My wording was not too good,Peter,What i was meaning was when communication was back,it would only take a minute for Steve(the boss man)to put a message on here saying what had happened,so the next time it happens and we get the same error message we will know that the forum will come back on line.
Normally if a web page doesnt come back fairly quickly,I stop using it,i.e.Our Local councillor had a blog until recently that has closed down suddenly,so I wipe references to it off my pc.I would do the same to any forum that i read .

Hi Everyone
The reason the site was down was due to the new feature we have just added where by you get an email when someone comments on your post, to do this we had to upgrade a lot of the site to a new coding system, in doing this we, (or should I say Paul) broke the site. SORRY about that.

And as we were in Spain on a flying visit we were not on line to see that the bug had taken the site off the internet.

I would like to say a big thanks to the Staff and Customers of AJ's, for the donations of food collected after your very successful quiz night last week. The food parcels were delivered to our office and we will ensure they are passed on to the Social Srvices for distribution. Again , Many thanks on behalf of the Social Services, The Town Hall and the people who will not be going hungry because of your generousity

Please note that the next quiz for the needy at AJ's is on Friday 9th March starting at 9p.m. why not come along, its just a fun quiz. Entry fee is 1€ per person, and if you would also like to bring a donation of non-perishable goods this would be greatly appreciated. All monies raised will be used to purchase other items of food and delivered to the town hall, even if you cant attend you could drop items off at AJ's bar anytime during the day.(You could also have one of their fantastic specials that are changed every week).

Enrty is 1€ per person &/or a donation of non-perishable food, which will be handed to Jeff and his team to pass out amongst the needy in the area.
