We are thinking about having a singles afternoon once a week, somewhere that single people can come and have a light lunch, a coffee or a few drinks with people in the same situation. I just think there may be many lonely people who just want to meet new friends etc....What do you think?
Should be interesting, hard part is telling enough people. Needs to be put up here regally to remind people. Plus how about putting it into the Events section?

well we will start it in the new year, every wednesday from 1pm, would be nice to see loads of people making new friends, first one will be 9th Jan. light lunches or just a drink. Come and make some new friends and get out of the house in the new year.
Can i just say - I'm neither sad, lonely or stuck in the house - just simply single!!!
I'm more than happy to meet others male/female in the same situation, will give it a try on the 9th

That's one of the reasons that I arrange a ladies night every month - it's nice to meet up with old friends and make new ones here in Spain.
Watch out for my next Ladies night posting and our next Girlie night out will be some time in January.

I think this is an absolutely wonderful idea to have up on the forum - especially as it seems to be for all age groups.
Good luck to any of you that use it. I would be extremely interested in knowing if any of the people on this forum meet anyone special. I have several friends that may be interested in meeting a nice gentleman friend.
I absolutley know that not everyone single is lonely, but think it would be nice just to make new friends especialy if you are new to La Marina or Spain. Free glass of Cava on the first one. maybe you will meet someone special, maybe just make a new group of friends. Hope to see loads here

Adobe years ago used to be my pet hate, but these days it works well seems to be totally safe, plus it's FREE to download. So much now days seems to work via Adobe.
Ian, personally i dont like it so wont risk it, free or not.. This is the first link i've had that insist on it, in fact it wouldnt allow me to say NO, had to close computer down to get rid of it.
Can i read it anywhere else?
