Gas Bottle Certification

Just to advise residents,I have just received a telephone call from ´the gas bottle company´telling me my certification has run out and they will send somebody round to re certificate.
Being an avid forum reader,(and not having any gas bottles)I kept him busy on his phone for about ten minutes asking silly questions (while he is talking to me he is not scaring anybody else)I told him I didnt have any gas,he politely said his farewells.
I am putting this on here,purely because If i was nieve and had gas bottles i would of invited his company round to inspect them,and give me a bill for a large amount of money for work they hadnt done,I would not be able to complain as I would of invited them in to do the work

I had the same phone call yesterday , but as I had all my gas checked last year I knew they were bogus.I was caught out a few years ago to the tune of 120 euros for four new tubes to be fitted and have been very careful since,.The man is very polite and sounds quite convincing.

Would you contact the local police with this info or generally speaking are they not that bothered?
