Fiesta & AECC

Had a thoroughly good night last night at the fiesta and although the groups playing were not my cup of tea I thought it was fantastic, so many people having a great time,...Even better was our local councillor and his troop making a well deserved donation of 4000€ to go towards AECC ( no matter what people think of the man,..credit where credit is due!) The to top it all off was a mention for Paul "Doc" Docherty who despite all the problems in his life has put so much time and effort into helping to raise awareness of cancer and assisting in the orchestration of so many charity events for the AECC,...if there was such a thing as knighthood in spain then that man would get my vote! Lets put life into perspective here folks! Take a leaf out of "doc's" book and live life to the full and help others where you can,.... who cares about if the electricity in a bar is legal or not?,...are we bothered about who is sha&*ing who? Come on folks we are all capable of passing derogatory comments on here I have done so myself on one occasion,...But you never know what is round the corner!! "DOC !!! you are an inspiration!!!"

Best thing I've seen posted on ASL in two years. I don't know the guy personally but I've heard many people speak about him and what a good guy he is.
My nan died of cancer and I was In the too when she died and it ain't a nice thing to see, life being wiped out by a nasty disease.
That's why I limit my posts now on here, life's to short to worry about whose doing what and with who, if people are having affairs good luck to ya, if people are wiring up to electricity illegally good luck to ya.
Just enjoy ya life because you will die one day, that means that's it, no more no nada...

Hear Hear a positive post with a heartwarming message although I don't know the person involved I wish him his family and all his carers my best wishes.
This is more like the news we want on hear, not the doom and gloom brigade. Get out and enjoy your life your a long time dead

It was a good night, my friends and I helped raise 1400€ for the AECC charity and would happily do it again next year.
