Food for needy
I hope everyone had a good Christmas, and that the help given to the people who needed food gave them some joy at least over the festive season.However I fully agree with Eve ,I wonder how these people are in this position,My husband and I are pensioners and like everyone else our state pension has been reduced considerably due to the low rate of exchange.Because of this we have had to spend our money accordingly,we do not expect to go out every night of the week spending money before our bills are paid ,nor do we buy clothes etc we do not need.We have adjusted our finances and are still able to live a nice comfortable life. While I really do feel genuinly sorry for people who are desperate for food I also would want to know why!!As for Alans comment about the needy dont go away unless they win the lottery, I think we all know that but dont go straight to the market every week buying clothes ,I would have thought food should be their priority,they seem to have state of the arts pushchairs etc ,I am not a hard hearted person, in fact my husband tells me I am far too soft hearted helping people and animals but I do believe there are some people who just dont try to help themselves
