POLICE..... WASTE OF TIME

I totally agree with you that these young teenagers should not be hanging around. As they say the Devil will make work for idle hands. I would ask you to be very cautious about what kind of action you take. Remember if they get together they can say anything. I will contact the Police and ask them to patrol the grey area tonight.

100% agree, it's the same around the Consum 2 area, the bars encourage the kids as well by supplying the drink.
We need Police on perminant patrol around all the bar areas during opening times.

Jeff... i know what your saying but when these teenagers are causing trouble for a neighbour who has had strokes blowing his letter box of the wall and just hangning around the bars why there open which put customers off going into these places. There was a law that come into affect back in the UK where if there was 5 or more teenagers gathering outside a bar or in a street the police had the power to move them on instantly.
Its getting worse and worse here to be homest in July and August the police were walking around the grey area showing there faces but this was during early evening. Once the sun went down these teenagers come out to play. I even caught one of them on my bike after it had been stolen 2 weeks earlier, i even gave him the chance to give it back no questions asked but he rode off. i waited for him after he got off his school coach and he learnt his lesson then. All the bars in the grey area are finding it hard last thing they need is teenagers hanging around playing football outside the resturants and smashing bottles.
Ill be out there tonight they all know my face by now and they do move on eventually.

There the same lot who are up by AJs bar and the new resturant that opened last night Via vente. I think once ive finished with them they all head off to consum and the car park. With all my honesty its going to end someone getting hurt because everytime i go to them all i hear is abuse i can deal with that but there drunk aswell.
I will be out tonight . Shame my phone hasnt got a flash on it otherwise id be taking pictures of these little sods smashing up lights and causing havoc .

You take it easy I know the frustration but I think reading Jeff's email you should give them one last chance. 2 wrongs don't make right and you would probably enjoy giving them what for but unfortunately you would be the one in jail not them. they would all collaborate against you,so show a bit more patience and see what happens. Andi, as you know I totally agree. I dont want to knock the Local Police as generally speaking we have found them to be very helpful and have not had any real problems with them. I would like to see them on foot patrol as this is the only way they are going to see these kids. My only concern is while they're out on foot they might start bothering the bars again about music etc!! Hope this is not a no win situation.

Well weejohn as far as being patient i think having to put up with this for the past 10 months is way beyond patient now. Just like a wall was put up to stop them coming through a private walkway two days later it was kicked down i know who it was but you cant go to police theres no evidence so yet again they win. We all had abit of a laugh as teenager but i dont remember getting up on the sotrins (ferritria) and trying to rip sky dishes of the roofs that join onto the tabacos and bars but, again they get away with it. at the end of the day i think the police should just pepper spray them all and as for there excuse woops my fingers slipped on the spray.. Something has to give with this not in the future but now.
Nikki i thought i was going to see your mum replying to this. As for the police coming round to the bars to tell you to turn your music down Nikki im quite sure they wont as most of the time the at the petrol station drinking coffe.

Andi..Mum said she thought you and Johny should stand at the bottom of your road with chicken wire so when they run down the road they get decapitated and she would help you if necessary!

There was definately a police presence last night in the grey area.

I was out and about around 20.30 and i saw them blue lights on and so on. There are 4 hotspots on this Urb. Consum car park,Grey area, top of the strip and other side of town by supa valu. It only kicks off on a friday and Saturdaty night in two of them areas im by. So the police paying a visit to them every hour and doing a few minutes walk is exactly what these hotspots need. I think we would rsther see the police doing this than not see the police at all.
So cheers Jeff for doing as you said you would i hope it can be kept up on friday and sataurday. All the bars are trying to stay open and now we have a new italian resturant and a indian opening up someimte soon the last thing we want is drunk mouth teenagers causing these people problems. Funny thing is though all these teenagers are ennglish.

Andy I genuinely hope this is the start of regular patrols as you say there isn't a lot of hotspots, they used to hang around the satellite roundabout until consume area was built and the police moved them on. However I urge you to be careful and utilise Jeff as a go between and the cops rather than get yourself in trouble. Peace and Goodwill to all.

I often wonder where yobs of today get there manners etc. from,but then when I read that Jeff and his Wife were berated by a foul mouthed Woman the other night,I thought perhaps that is where the Kids start to learn.
