We had to buy a new kettle over the weekend and no matter how may times I have boiled water up in it there is still that disgusting taste. Is there anything that you can put in to the kettle to get rid of this? - I've chucked 3 cups of tea away today because of the horrid tangy taste
Carol a lot of the old Fogies I speak to or hear talk about this say that boiling lemon or vinager in the kettle usually gets rid of this taste. I have no idea if it's true or not

We got it in the electrical shop up the strip on the urb. We bought our last kettle from there as well and it was fine after boiling it a couple of times. We have now put vinegar in it and boiled it up, rinsed it out and boiled it a few more times - I think it's getting a bit better. We have bought quite a few items at this shop and have been very pleased with them. I'm not keen on coffee Peter. Yes agree with Eve about your comment Andi - it's not very nice to refer to the older people as old fogies, but thank's for your advice.

Exactly Alan. Anyone who knows me will know I'm always winding the older generation up about how they o through the hole family of names just to get yours and like today I was winding a guy up about how he always repeats himself. It's never done in the way of offending people it's done in the lighthearted way so we call all have a laugh at ourselfs. Life's to short to get yourself into a muddle over little things.

Ahhh Soz Eve. Dat must b the young guy in me spesh how I spelt hole and referring 2 the wrong word for the wrong meaning. It's b a shame coz wit in 10 mayb 15 years British peeps are guna ave a completely different language when talkin an I mean dis in the way they spell an right things out. I think Don that people can like or dislike something. If you want to be an old fart as you say then that is up to you, and if the ladies dislike being referred to as old fogies, then that is their perogative. I know I would not have dared to refer to my mother as an "old fogey".

He was referring to aquaintances or friends that he had spoken to
I gather that perhaps you had mis read something that he wrote.
I understand that he said that his Family had to go through all the names when talking to him,before they got his name right,mainly because,I was youngest Son of nine,and all of us were referred to as Son by my Dad,My seven Sisters were all referred by their Names..
