Your loss is all I will say. La Marina is a fabulous place to live and to have a holiday everyone is friendly and welcoming. We had a fantastic magical fiesta this year and most people enjoyed and embraced it. Just because a few people moan you have decided not to bother coming here, well it's you who's missing out.

So true Negotiator,because some people voice their opinions.doesnt make La Marina a bad place,it makes it a place where if people dont agree with something,they tend to say so,nothing wrong with that in fact it makes it an even better reason to live here,at least we can laugh and enjoy ourselves also the greatest place to be if you need help of any kind.

It is quite RARE to have Freedom of Speech anywhere in the World. BUT we do posses it in La Marina and its great. Others find it a little hard to get to grips with. It’s not moaning its freely expressing an opinion, without fear.

Patricia i have lived in Blackpool and enjoyed every thing about it. It has the best entertainment in Europe from the Blackpool Tower to its Pleasure Beach and in between some of the friendliest Working men's clubs in Britain. So yes it is like La Marina in some aspects. You will go a long way to find friendlier people than in the North of England. So don't knock it until you have tried it.

How can anybody not love La Marina. We have so much here by way of eateries etc. Of course we get some moaners but people are entitled to their point of view and others have the right of reply, free speech. On the rare occasions I leave here I almost cry with happiness when I get back. We love it so much we've called our house "Our little peice of heaven", in Spanish of course. I do like Blackpool but La Marina is King

Yes Mick, many many moaners, Eve i was not knocking Blackpool, mearly stating La Marina is very British but with sun, after all it is a housing estate and not typically spanish, lots of british folk whos outlook is that of the British, and they moan. A typical Spanish attitude would be hands up in the air, Manana, manana. When in Rome......

Just check out the other pages available on this site. Most are things of interest from the local area. La Marina blogs are always moaning. It's not free speech. It's not other people's point of view it's constant moaning.
I like La Marina (and Blackpool) but wouldn't want to live there !!

Patricia what is so wrong with that..why are you being so derogatory about La Marina...in Blackpool, London, anywhere in Britain or wherever I think you will find that like seeks out like. It is only natural. That doesn't mean to say that because a lot of British people live in La Marina that we don't like the Spanish way of life or have spanish friends and also friends of lots of other nationalities. La Marina is for us if it's not for you fair enough but stop slagging it off just because British people choose to live here and yes you're right we do have the sun which is more than you can say for Blackpool. As for you mickdunckly Quesada isn't all that in fact it's only got one main street and a load of empty houses so why you would think to compare it with La Marina the lord above only knows. I've never been to Quesada without thinking I am so pleased I chose to live in La Marina. I would also say that there are a lot more Brits there than here. It seems to me that you are the one doing the moaning at the moment.

You all put my 6 year old niece to shame. You could all be on Jeremey Kyle. Most of you lot are in your 50s 60s 70 may be few years younger. Take some advice from a youngster, instead of moaning about something like you all are, put your energy in to something helpful. If not sit back in your rocking chairs and shut the F### up.

It is strange that people say this is like a British Housing Estate, well I do not know where they are then as I am surrounded by Spanish people on holiday down from Madrid most of them so no I do not feel as if I'm on a housing estate. I cannot remember the last time I spoke to an English person near my home.

Just been reading through the comments and laughing. My goodness, those of us who love La Marina do with a vengance. I know it may not be perfect (only may not be) but for our retirement it is. I can't think of anywhere else we want to be. Yep, once again I'll say it loud and say it proud. WE LOVE LA MARINA xx
