I have just read on another forum,that people are saying you need to re new your Padron before the 24 August to retain your SIP health cover.Has anybody heard anything about this,or is it another silly wind up.
Are there any sensible observations on that forum. Or is it all hearsay.
As with most forums,telling fact from fiction,is sometimes hard to do,only a couple of sensible replies that state state messages leftaround her village and another that the receptionist at her health clinic told her.Not exactly anything positive in either,but this is Spain,so who knows

This is an article written in 2005, the rules have changed several times since then!! It seems unlikely that we should all have to renew our padron on the same date, can you imagine the chaos and the queues....If you are unsure about your health cover go and speak to the man in the townhall annexe on the urb, he is very helpful.
Susan, thank you for the correction. At least you & I agree that instead of listening to rumours it is better to go to the source.
