OUR TRAIN

ASL Member Founding Member Envoyer #15817 Réponses fermées

How come a little town like Dolores can afford to run a train and yet a much larger area like ours ie: La Marina cannot afford to. For getting down to the shops in the Iceland area alone I would of thought it would pay for itself if run when needed regularly plus of course a proper posted time table. What became of the guy who said he would run it.
Do note that in the short clip I did when driving through Dolores that the train is FULL. http://youtu.be/9nrEpllBgGA

According to their press releases this council spends a lot its resources seemingly promoting tourism, yet when it comes to what they spend the money on most people agree it is not the right things. The train was a great pull for tourists and surely this should have been a priority over fireworks and 1day rock concert!

From what I can remember of my post last night I was having a sing and dance about this council the last council the council before them and them and the ones before them.

What everyone needs to understand is councillors lie, end of story. They tell you what you want to hear and what may sound good at the time. Once in power and then they go through all the paperwork, accountant an so on I gaurentee they say to themselves sh$t why did I promise this and that when looking at all this I can't even do the basic things I said I would.
I'm not saying a councillors job is easy, but what I am saying is don't promise something then get elected and then lie, instead tell the truth, yup I can't come good on this promise or that promise as it just won't work or there's to many obstacles in the way.
The thing with the Urb is, the PP took just over 100 votes on this Urb and over 1000 in the village. So the Urb yet again is neglected as the PP will need to keep all these people happy in the village for the next election and to gain there vote.
As for the PIPN, I think they took over just 200 from this Urb. The opposition group took over 500 on the Urb that's more than the PP-PIPN put together.
After being in the village over weekend I must admit it looks like the place belongs in the queens back garden not a piece of grass out of place nice even clean pavements. Come to the Urb it looks like battersea dogs home garden.
The council are taking care of there priorities and that's the PP voters in the village.
The councillor who looks after the Urb has 200 odd people to thank.
I'm allowed to moan because I'm the poor sod going out there at night arguing with idiots to stop the there fire works at night, yet again last night at about half past midnight a idiot thought it funny to have a party in his front garden. Yet again no police anywhere to be seen.

Oh yeah I forgot the train, how one cannot get a agreement I place for a train for the Urb is really baffling. I'm sure the council can cough up a few thousand euros from under there desks, you just got to cut the tape you used to tape it under your desk in the first place
The train is a gold mine.

We have seen the train running empty time after time until 9pm in the depths of winter, with only the driver on it wrapped up in a big coat and scarf. A great deal of money could have been saved by matching supply times more accurately to demand times. Is doesn't take a lot of working out that few people on the urb will want to take a dotto train ride at 9pm in February, but such was available!!
