Rock concert / Spanish fiesta

As a brit about to move to spain after having a holiday home for the past ten years i want to embrace everything that Spain has to offer, be it rock concerts ,fireworks ,fiestas, I feel that if you move here then you have to become part of things and take the rough with the smooth I'm choosing to move to la marina full time because I want the way of life Spain offers, this is not rose coloured glasses its how it is. If I was a national and didn't like what was going on then I would be moaning most probely, the beaches are not as clean as you and i would like then there's a few things you can do, either don't go or complain to the counsels and hope they do something if money's is available or get a work party of like minded locals and help tidy them up. And yes I would be one of the first to help.where I live in the uk, there has just been a local music festival I could hear the music and I live three streets away, people were moaning about that ok some of the music needed to be tweaked as it was a little unconventional but we can't have everything one hundred percent perfect all the time,if you think I'm talking out of line then I'm sorry but what happened to live and let live why move to Spain and want to change it surely the way Spain is ,is why we moved .

I agree and welcome to la Marina , I came here to live the Spanish life with the Spanish people 12 years ago things change and unfortunately they have here, so come and live your dream and ignore all the gossip around you. There are many nationalities here and they are all nice people you have your choices , come and enjoy.

In the uk us Brits always rise to the challenge, we get stuck in,grease washes up on a beach there we are marigolds on and scrubbing our little hearts out,I think we expect people to behave the way we do respectfully ,clean up after yourself take your litter home, unfortunately life has changed , not always for the best some and I say some don't care but it doesn't mean we have to take that attitude it's nothing to do with me if I see rubbish on the beach I put it with mine and take it with me, if everyone did the same things may change.

I agree in as much as when in Rome etc. but can you really call La marina Spain? If you want to experience living in Spain like the Spanish do you should choose La marina... its "little England' with a few Scandinavians chucked in and I don't mean that in a derogatory way, being British but having lived in Scandinavia for 20 years. I have been renting in a small town in the country for 11/2 years and thoroughly enjoyed it, but unfortunately have had to move back here as my house will not sell. La Marina has its charm and there's safety in numbers I suppose. But you couldn't call it living in the real Spain if that s what you're after... Welcome to La Marina!

I have been studying Spanish for six years I speak as much as I can when I'm here i want to LIVE here i I don't want to be a typical tourist speaking louder to get my point over, even if I'm in a minority I'm still going for it, and yes sometimes it does seem like southend hardly ever hearing the native tongue.
