Award of top team this week goes this week to The Dolphins winning their game on Friday against Greenland Cedars by 11 points to 3; the winning rinks being Jill Albutt, Hazel Gries Skip John Albutt; Brian Murray, Marg Finlayson Skip Dave O`Sullivan; Reg Jackson, Bill Bould Skip Bill Jones: Jan Gugerly, Derek Shirley Skip Dave Gugerly; and the rink of Angie Butler, Martin Butler Skipped by Brian Duff drew. On Monday the sister team the Astronauts drew 7 all with Horadada Falcons the winning rinks being Dave McGraw, Jill Albutt Skipped by John Albutt: Marg Jamieson, Derek Shirley Skipped by Bill Jamieson and the rink of Paul Tregoing Margaret Finlayson Skipped by Dave O`Sullivan drawing there game but the team won the overall shot difference by 1 point.
The Seagulls managed 1 win and 1 loss on Friday we suffered a bad lose at the hands of Quesada Swallows going down 12 points to 2 we managed only 2 draws the rinks being Mo Taylor, Arthur Cronk Skipped by Steve Hindle and Dave Freeman, Mo Barker Skipped by Tom Edwards. Monday the Pathfinders won well at home to San Luis Vulcan’s winning 11 points to 3 winning rinks being Barbara Forshaw, Chris Green Skip Bob Mallett: Gina Hindle, Arthur Cronk Skip Dave Hadaway: Hazel Towers, Phil Richmond Skip Jim Freeman: Sam Towers, Bernie Carr Skip Dave Taylor: and draw for Ron Garland, Mo Barker Skip Tom Edwards.
The Sharks traveled to San Miguel on Friday coming away with a 7 all draw winning rinks Janet Parsons, Phil Papa Skip Jim Donnelly: Margaret McLaughlin, John Pryme Skip Peter Parsons; Kath Manning, Barry Sadler Skip Shirley Hadaway: and Ron Maden. Alex Whyte Skip Jim Manning managing a draw. Monday saw the Explorers going down 4 points to 10 the winning rinks Jim Dobbins, Dave Williams Skip Peter Parsons and Linda Vincent, Phil Pape skipped by Bobby Simms.
