Posting Christmas cards to UK & Europe

Don't know if anybody has tried to post their cards at the Urbanisation La Marina Post Office, but it's a nightmare. There is a queue of about ten people, and each one has a pile of cards that take forever to be weighed and stamped etc.

If the envelope is a bit too tall, that costs more, and if it's any colour other than white, there's extra for that etc.

Far easier to go to the newsagents in Consum Square. Lovely lady there will sell you a stamp for anywhere in Europe for 75 cents, and you post your cards in the box outside the shop. So it's cheaper and no queue. And it works, cos people I have written to have confirmed receipt. Must use the box outside the shop, though, not the Correos boxes.

Went to Correos at 8.45 monday morning and posted all my cards to England. Had a text from my daughter, who lives in Eastbourne, today, thanking me for her card. No probs.

Pleased to hear that, Caroline, but I was merely trying to be helpful in saving money and time queueing.

You can also do the same at Jasons stationery shop at the top of the urb, by Bobs bar and at the little newsagent outside super valu near the police station.

I think Jason charges more than 75 cents. Don't know about the kiosk.
