Who is responsible for the pruning of trees on the 'pavements?

I have noticed the trees on the pavements of some of La Marina Urbs are not being attended properly. The needle sharp points of the trunk shoots are not being cut off and therefore are being dangerous for Children and animals, So whomever is responsible for sorting out this problem should be told as soon as possible before an accident occurs. so if you are aware of the Councillor responsible would you please inform me.

La Marina

Why dont you do what my neighbour and myself do as we walk around to the post box we prune the trees

Good idea david,I have been doing that to the two trees outside my gaff, but I pay my taxes and suma for the Council to give contracts to outside companies to do what the council pay them for ,If the contractors do not come up to scratch the council can do what they did four years ago and cancel the contract then get a reliable company in. In the meantime, trees that are not on your way to the pòst box are not being done and if one Child gets one of these points in their eye, Are you going to say sorry to the Parents

Go and tell the council yourself

Alan,
in this case I totally agree with you. There are "dangerous" trees in many places in the urbanisation. And how would the pavements look if everyone, with knowledge or no knowledge, would start to cut the trees? It must be people from the Ayuntamiento who should take care of this problem! We, as you wrote, pay taxes like everywhere else. We are not employed by the Ayuntamiento to do this.

luvmylife,
Thanks for your useless info. The question I asked was who is in charge of the contracts for these jobs, I will admit to using wrong words on my first comment, when I said for the reader to tell the Councillor ,if they Knew who the councilor was. I should of course said could you let me know. I have changed the appropriate word on the original comment. I have no children or animals over here, but if I see a potential danger to either,I wont just sit and do nothing,as apparently one or two people may.

And what about the council hassling some hedge owners around the place to keep their hedges trimmed regularly too? I nearly got my eye poked out by a sharp bougainvillea growing half way across the pavement. Of course you have the choice..keep on the inside of the insanely placed lamp posts - or go out onto the road and risk getting run over. I have great pity for people in wheelchairs, and pushing prams etc while negotiating the pavements of La Marina. Wonder who the town planner was at the time?

Just a point if you live on a community then it is in your community rules that nothing should grow over your boundary wall ask your president to tell the owner of the property to cut them back

I guess the Council isn't as open as it promised, Or no one who reads this forum, knows who is in control of the looking after trees on public footpaths in La Marina Urbs. I have noticed that some have no side shoots on them but others on the same road are over grown with these dangerous shoots. Not to worry as soon as a Child or an Animal gets injured, I bet loads of people will be making comments and calling all sorts of people all sorts of names. I really hope if an injury occurs it isn't serious.

luvmylife
LOL.
I gather you are on about the Openess this council promised us.
I thought that if they were going to be open they would of let at a few people know who does what on the council,as nobody has been able to help me, I presume no one who reads this forum has any knowledge of whom I need to speak to or if they do perhaps openness does extend to anybody. So luvmylife, enjoy loving it . IYD

No I'm on about getting up off your arse and going to the Ayuntamiento yourself..........because the trees on the main road around here have just this morning been trimmed.

lovmylife,
Shows the power of the ASL Forum, Yesterday ?r I asked for a Councillors name today looks like you tell me the job is being done. Glad I didn't walk to the townhall in this weather today, would of been a wasted journey as someone took notice of the urgency already.Proves my point (no pun intended) the job needed doing
That is the power of the print luvmylife, enjoy what you do best .LOL
