Where and how far does one have to go for a night of Country and Western?
We have tried El Rancho at Los Montesinos and what they advertise as a country and western evening is just another Rock and Roll night.

I run a website called Torrevieja Line Dancing - www.torreviejalinedancing.info and try to keep it up to date with all the Country & Western events and linedancing in the local and surrounding areas. You might find what you are looking for on there. There are often social events and there is a monthly one at La Rustika (old Los Arcos) in Torrevieja on Tuesday 13th September at the Pure Country Music Club. I to like country music. I keep an eye up here for such events and they seem rare. What a shame those venues hosting such things do not bother to put them up here into the events section. We are told that this site has around 500 people on it a day so why dont pubs and bars list when they have country on????? Is it all top secret for the in click only.
What an expensive night that was at El Rancho. We had gone there during the day on a Sunday for a coffee and to check out the menu situation and on the night there was no *Menu del dia*. A bottle of white wine was 9.50 euros. I know a lot of people will pay that, but we do not. Well we did that night because we had drunk it !! They advertised the evening as a Country & Western night, but it was just ordinary music. Not many people there - I wonder why????? We will not be going back.
