K9 Extraordinary General Meeting

In accordance with Art 12 of the K9 Club statutes and following the resignation of the appointed committee, the K9 Club members have called an Emergency General Meeting.
The meeting will take place at 4pm on Thursday, 19th January 2012 at the Social Centre, La Marina Urbanisation (behind the police station). All current members of the K9 Club are invited to attend.
The prime objective of this EGM is to elect the key committee members - President, Vice President and Treasurer. Other committee members may also be elected.
Nominations for all committee positions must be made in writing, and received by midnight on Saturday, 14th January 2012. Nominations submitted after this date will not be considered. Nomination forms can be obtained from either the K9 Charity Shop or by e-mail request to [email protected].
A list of the nominees will be available on Monday, 16th January 2012 from either the K9 Charity Shop or by e-mail application to [email protected].
At the EGM, voting will close at 4.45pm and any votes received after this time will NOT be counted. Two independent adjudicators have been appointed to count the vote and the result should be announced at 5pm.
Any members wishing to vote who are unable to attend the EGM may obtain a Proxy Vote Form from either the K9 Charity Shop or by e-mail application to [email protected].

Ummm... Just out of intrest and being a nosey git. Whos is posting this post. It cant be pauline,Pete or even Brenda. Why did the previous committee resign, why were they in my own words PUSHED out the shop. Why is out that Mr.lewis name just keeps coming up and up and up when people ask around about what he/her has done to upset alot of people in that shop. I aint afraid to talk about it, its a charity shop, and a charity shop is kept open by the public and public donations. As for me the K9club has a large amount of dogs and cats so you can only re-home a certain amount. Why keep taking in more an more if you cant re-home as fast as you would like. So in my view they were doing a great job in trying to re-home as quick as they could. Well my opinion again is i hope The old commmittee stand upto this person run him/her out of the shop and let the K9 club resume as they were.
My honest thought to this is if this person takes over as president that him/her will run K9 into the ground.

As for the smoking ban carol theuy need to make it a outright law no smoking anywhere. Its pure disgusting..(my thought)/

Would the person who has posted above about K9 please Register under their correct Name or you will be deleted. A posting of this nature could lead to a lot of problems if it is not a genuine posting.

How to put your photo/Avatar on your postings !

Go in to SETTINGS (at the bottom of the page)- Click in and look at the top section to make sure that your Password is in that section. Then a little further down find the BROWSE button and click in here. This will take you on to your computer where you can pick your photo/Avatar that you wish to put on, then press button to UPLOAD.

We try not to have too many Rules & Regulations up here on this Forum, but one of the obvious Rules that we must enforce is that you do Register with a Name, and particularly when it is a posting of a serious nature such as this one.

Firstly, this is a GENUINE post. If proof is required, call in to the K9 shop.
Secondly, it came up as "anon" by error and will be corrected. The posting was placed by members of the K9 Club attempting to continue to run the shop/charity following the resignation of the ENTIRE committee.
If you want to know the full true story (ie not gossip or rumours), please call in to the K9 shop where more information is available.
