I have been interested in setting up an estate agents in the area for years but the way the property market has been lately I have sat on the fence, the word is that the market is now picking up. What is the feeling of the local people in the area? Can you let me know any thoughts you may have as to if people are starting to buy again.
Thank you very much for that Alan, its the sort of information that is needed before an investment is made and I lose all of the kids inheritance money.
If you come and visit La Marina you will see there are literally 100's of properties up For Sale and selling for less than they were 5 years ago.
People we know have just bought a Julie (quad) in fase 2 for just £72,500 and with all the buying costs it comes to just under £80,000.
It is defo a buyers market, so for people deperate to sell, they can sell at a very low price.
Did you know that you can now see the post from all the "A Spanish Life" areas by clicking the link at the top of the page, SEE POSTS FROM ALL AREAS and any comments or post you make will also appear on your area site.
hi charly are you looking for a property to work from for your estate agents i may have the perfect location
If I was you,I wouldnt do anything just yet,a lot of places have been up for sale for absolute ages, although prices have been reduced.Spain itself is in a massive financial mess.masses of people are unemployed.Anybody from oversees know that the Euro is in trouble, and any collapse would mean people purchasing property befor the possible collapse will see a large drop in the worth of property soon after.Town councils all have massive debts that they cannot repay so the enviroment around will gradually deteriarate,as less money is spent by the councils.
Sorry to be so negative, but I have not seen any real improvement in house sales and those that have sold have gone for a lot less than would of been expected.
Another guide is to check how many Agents have gone in the last few years and how many have opened,
Whatever you choose to do i wish you the best of luck
