Iberdola Bogus Reps

Thought I would Post this as I think this is more inrormative than all the arguments about live music.
The Costa Blanca News reported that bogus Reps purporting to be from Iberdrola were knocking on doors and asking for cash in Orba.

They are now in the ORIHUELA COSTA calling on houses. . They have an Iberdrola ID card ( obviously false or forged ) asking to see your bill then offering to change your meter readings from bi-monthly to monthly or vice versa. They suggest that to do this you have to pay pay in full any outstanding amount to have this put into effect, asking for the cash and saying you will get a receipt. They are very pleasant and convincing.

BUT they are bogus.

Iberdrola never cold call and neither will they ask for money. If you have any problem they will make an appointment or only call if you have already asked them to visit you and will always have your contract details in advance.

Please make your neighbours aware of these bogus callers to ensure that they do not get caught out

We had a guy visit is from ibedrola, said exactly what you are saying regarding the monthly bills. Didn't ask for money or anything thing regarding cash. We got the electric bill throug the other week and they actually deducted 66 euros as now it was being broken down to the correct amount of usage.
So as far as there may be people trying to scam out there regarding ibedrola there is also a real rep from ibedrola doing the rounds.

I also had the Iberdrola men round. They corrected my address which has been wrong now for nine years. I also signed on the dotted lines but they didn't ask for any money and had correct Iberdrola forms and uniforms.

we had them in la marina on tues ,asked them if they were from ibadrola why did they need the bill for details ,he just walked away.
