Places to eat

Hi Quesada

We are over for a visit in the next few weeks, but as we have not been in Quesada for 2 years we are not sure what eating places are new or old ones that have closed down.

We would be very great full if anyone could give is an idea as to the best places to eat.

We used to go to the Blackbull alot just outside of Quesada but can not seem to get in contact with them.

Thanks in advance

Quesada

The Black Bul is now El Toro under new lease. Can recommend Patagonia ( almost opposite Spice Hut) The Wok by the Golf Course, Coopers Arms on Dona Pepe and The Indian Ocean by Hotel Laguna. All very nice places to eat.

La Herradura restaurant is a great place for a night out. The food is good and on Fridays and Saturdays there is a terrific flamenco show. Expect to spend around 25 euros a head with drinks. Fabulous building which was the home of the Montesinos family. It is next to the REPSOL garage just on the outskirts of Los Montesinos. You have to book at weekends. The number is 966 716 012

There are lots of restaurants in Quesada, the top voted one by us the The Wok, near consum and Lidls, fantastic food as much as you can eat for 7.95 Euros per adult. Quesada fish and chips, on the main road, just outside the arches is always busy and excellent value. We also recommend Mulberrys for their huge portions (even my hubby couldn't finish it!) and Harrys Bar at the top of Quesada for a great breakfast (they have an winter menu now and it looks lovely). The three Amigos, on the main strip has good value meals, as does Bobbys Bar, two meals for 5 Euros! (near Sunseekers estate agents)

Hope this helps :)

Bobbys bar is great value, it is behind the high street, two meals for 6 euro, the cajuan chicken is the best I have had, the Bull Flanagan near the golf 15 euro for two three course Sunday lunch and all home cooked

The Blackbull that was just outside Quesada is no longer there, but have opened the Baby Black Bull in Quesada, upstairs in the alley way opposite the card and gift shop. Not managed to eat there yet as the first time I went to book a table the kitchen was closed for several weeks, the second time I tried ther wasn't any staff in the bar, I waited and then left. Really wanted to try their steak night!!

I'm not sure the Baby Black Bull is open, I went to look a couple of weeks ago, and it was in darkness...Any one else know?

The best place to eat in Quesada now is Laurel and Hardy's on Calle Los Arcos above Quesada Fish and Chips (formerly the Lime Bar). Fantastic 3 course menu for €15 is by far the best value evening meal around, not to mention the best food too.

The Black Bull at Torremendo is now called El Torro and the food is just as good.. Steak night is Saturday I think. Telephone 966842070 or 633154038 to book. Maz

Hi the Harris Family, just a quick one, if you are looking for a drive out and a quick bite to eat or a light lunch, very close to where you used to go at the Black Bull in Torremendo is the Grand Design House that overlooks the beautiful La Pedrera Lake. The house opens in the December period, lavishly decorated for Christmas from the 1st - 24th and serves light lunches, cream teas and mince pies etc. They are open each day from 11am - 4pm. Every year, and for the last 5 years, the house opens to raise money for local underprivileged children and hosts a Christmas Party for them. Although is it not a full restuarant you can get a lovely light lunch, such as a Toastie, burger, baked potatoe etc. and enjoy the fantastic view of the blue lake, plus the house also has a large display of handmade crafts supporting local craftspeople in the area. Details can be found on the website at www.thingstodoinspain.info or call 660816620

Hi
Try the patagonia steak house! Always the BEST argentinian steaks without fail! They also do an all you can eat meat feast, for 10 euro a person, and a free bottle of wine/jug of beer or Sangria for a meal for 2. The 10 euro meat feast is european meat, but still fantastic with ribs, steak,
chorizo and chicken on a sizzling hot plate. Been there for for 6-7 years or more, so they are doing something right!
