CARP-R-US CLUB NEWS

This week saw the final match in the Clubs Spring series of matches, it was to have been fished on the Eden canal in Guardamar but with the ongoing very bad state of the river, it was changed to the Sweet Water Canal also in Guardamar.

In first place was Ian Dalzell with 6.42 kilos, second was Dave Hill with 6.36 kilos, third was Pete Kerr with 2.86 kilos and in fourth spot was Eddie Badcock with 2.028 kilos.

This means that the winner of the Spring series is Steve Collins so many congratulations.
The match on the 18th April is to be fished at the Embalse del Argos, which at the moment is eighty per cent full. This is for the Club's Spring Cup, and will be a six hour match. Meet on the bank at 8.15. Please inform Dave if you will be fishing.

The next Club meeting will be on Sunday April 21st, with the Committee meeting at 10.00 followed by the General Meeting at 11.00. As the Sunday meeting for May 5th has been cancelled, the next meeting will not be until May 19th.

Please also note that the next Quiz night will be on 23rd April. This commences at 7.30 pm, and teams of 6 or less can compete. Cost of entry is 1€ per person. Instead of the snowball bingo, Play your Cards right will be held.
