Is it true that if you dont pay your water bill and remain living in your rented house the water company wont cut off your supply.

I'd be very surprised if this is true. My pal rented out a house and her tenants did a runner owing bills. We only knew something was wrong when the water meter was removed. Try and sort it out
Its my friends renting out the house and the renters have had the electric meter taken away but they have reconnected the electric themselves. Iberdrola know, but dont seem bothered as the bills are not in the renters name. They seem to know exactly what they can get away with.
