ASL Member Founding Member Bericht #20102 Reacties gesloten

130 Euros was raised for the Poppy Appeal

We met at Alenda on a chilly but bright morning to compete for the Mike Barbour Memorial Trophy, which is always played as a Texas Scramble Stableford competition.

This day was also dedicated to The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal and their representative Mick 'The Grip' was in attendance to thank the Society for its donation of 130 Euros.

The competition was hard-fought and resulted in a win [by only 1 point] for the Society's Captain's team consisting of Alan Jones,Lynn Young, Elspeth Craig and Geoff Ettridge [45 points].

Nearest the pins were won by Elspeth Craig,Norman Pickett, Lynn Young and Ray Hill and they were presented with golf balls, kindly supplied again by Nigel from clubstohire.com. Nigel is also offering a club cleaning service with proceeds going to the Poppy Appeal.

Our next game is at BonAlba on 27th November at 10a.m. and the attendance sheet is on the Society noticeboard at the La Marina Sports Complex.

Please let Elspeth know your seating and food requirements for the Presentation Night on 5th December as soon as possible.

Thanks again to the staff at the Sports Complex for the after match food.

A reminder that the AGM will be coming up in early December and nominations are required for all Committee posts {except Captain]. They should be put in the box at the Sports complex, together with any items for the Agenda.
