ITALIAN HOLIDAY

What an amazing and interesting holiday in Italy. Not sure if anyone has been to the Campania region of Italy but its like going back in time with numerous quaint little villages that have stood the test of time and remain unspoilt, in retaining their charm as well as their history. We stayed at a place called Chiusano di San Domenico, which is built and embedded in a mountain, that has spectacular views across miles and miles of countryside, where you can vividly see hundreds of other villages scattered along pockets of beautiful landscape.

It was wonderful waking up in the morning to the sound of local mobile traders that were selling a variety of fresh produce right under our balcony.

Opening our large bedroom wooden shutters in the morning and being met by a blue sky and sunshine draped over the mountains, which you could almost touch as you feel that close to them.

In addition we visited places called Lapio, San Mango, Castelvetre, Castelfranchi, Lioni, Lago Laceno, Montevergine, Avellino, Altripalda and many more cities and villages.

I would certainly recommend this type of holiday to anyone that is interested in a totally different type of break that is not commercialised.
