We purchased this property direct from the builder, Off Plan, in May 1998. Because we were buying before it was built we were allowed to make changes. It was finished in November 1998.

We chose the blue kitchen doors, the floor tiles and where we wanted certain electrical points.

We left out the wall of the downstairs 3rd bedroom to enable an open plan dining area.

We chose not to have a bath but a shower in the downstairs bathroom. This left a space under the stairs to enable the washing machine to be plumbed in.

In the upstairs master bedroom we had an extra East-facing window installed (great to wake up with the morning sun coming through the window). After construction was finished we had the en-suite bathroom built.

At a later stage all the original wooden windows were replace with German profile UVPC double glazed windows.

La Florida, in the area of Orihuela Costa, is less than a 10 minutes drive south of Torrevieja. It has a very multi-cultural feel as many people from other countries now live in this area and also a number of Spanish families.
