Entertainment Licence Update

Must say a big well done to Tommy for bothering to get all this together.
We the ordinary residence are well behind you.
Just out of interest had a look at Jeff Wiszniewski Blog to see how much backing he is giving, was amazed to see that he hasen't updated it this year, let alone is offering any support.
WHAT A SHAME. This is a far bigger subject than what party any one supports. We need the Politicians to FULLY back the future of the Urbanisation.

Hi Sunshine. Would of thought that the town hall would of informed all those on their list what was happening and asked them for support.
Tommy needs all the help he can get if this is to succeed. After all it is for the good in the long run of us all!

I have come to the conclusion,that this Council has no intention of openly backing the move to keep our bars open.
Jeffs blogs last entry was over a month ago and all that said was an English translation of a piece in the Spanish papers,that some opposition party members were in court over some dubious dealings they had when they controlled San Fulgencio a few years ago.
I receive e-mails every month from Jeffs office,the last one arrived a few days ago,only one thing on there was to let us know that we were invited to the social centre to learn English/Spanish conversation,not a single word about about helping the bars or indeed that we were being asked to sign in favour of Tommy and the Presidents letter to Valencia.
So from this I gather this I gather that this Council for some reason wants La Marina Urb to become a ghost town.
Worst still,for us,is that The Opposition use a web-site,to slag off this current Council,and even they have not mentioned any of whats going on,on the Urb.
If at least some of the Council or the opposition grow a pair of balls,We will need a New party to start up to rid us of these lazy overpaid useless morons who pretend to support the people who put them in power.
Lastly,does anybody know of a councillor who has had the balls to sign this petition

You have to remember the councillor for the Urb is a dude that believes " greatness has been thrust upon him ". Funniest quote I've ever heard.

Also he has to remember. Getting to the top is one thing,but on the way down you have to negiotate all the people that you kicked in the teeth on the way up to the top.

I was in Jeffs office earlier this week after some info and at the time both he and another one of the staff were busy printing and collating petitions for distribution to the bars. I saw this with my own eyes and to say that they are doing nothing is utterly untrue. Get your facts straight before slagging people off.

What is the point collating petitions unless they are copies of the ones that Tommy has, which are the originals,and if he was going to use them in some way,why hasnt he kept the residents in the loop,by posting something about it on his blog. it looks at the moment that only Tommy is distributing this petition,so unless the Council speak to him and find out the procedure,it will only confuse people

It was the petition of Tommy's they were producing to distribute to the bars that either had not got one already or needed another.

My comment stands,Why didnt it appear on Jeffs blog of what he was doing,that is what a blog is for,to let people know what is going on.
He has already stated that he will not read or contribute to this forum,and he never has contributed to any other local forum,and that we could always read his blog,only problem is it looks like he doesnt contribute to that either.
