CARP-R-US CLUB NEWS

The match on Thursday the 14th of February was the 2nd round of the Clubs Spring Series of matches. This one was fished on the Town stretch of the River Segura in Murcia town centre.

First on the day was Dennis Pick with a weight of 3.98kilos, using maggot. Second was Pete Kerr with 3.02kilos using bread, third was Geoff Tempest with 2.10 kilos using maggot and in fourth spot was John fielding with a weight of 1.86kilos. using bread.

The next match in this series will be fished on the Sweet Water Canal in Guardamar on the 21st of February. Pegs at 8.00am and we will be fishing 9.00 to 14.00 hours. Don´t forget to book if you wish to fish this match.

Close to 100 people will be attending the Clubs Valentines Celebration evening on the 16th of February at the Club house. This will be followed by a St. Patrick’s´s night event on Saturday the 16th of March also at the Club house; these events are all part of the Clubs Social Calender for the coming year.

The next of the Clubs Quiz nights will be on Tuesday the 26th of February, starting at 7.30pm. The cost is 1 € per person and teams of 6 or less are allowed to take part. A game of snowball Bingo is played during the course of the evening.

The next Club meeting is on the 3rd of March and it is also the Clubs AGM starting at 11am.

The Clubs home is at the Bar El Alto La Dolores which is situated just off the N332 between La Mata and Guardamar and near to the Repsol garage.
