DOG ATTACk

People of La Marina, especially La Escuera beware....our dog was savagely attacked today by an Alsatian dog. He is currently in San Anton vets critically ill. He has had to have an operation to remove his kidney, part of his intestine, stitch up his liver and attempt to repair muscle damage. If he survives the next 24 hours we will be lucky. We will report this to the police and Guardia if need be. The dog needs to be destroyed this could have been a child. It was not on a lead and no one came to see if our dog was ok. If they had they would have seen half his insides hanging out! Literally I am not exaggerating. Apparently the vet tells us this is the second incident on La Escuera involving an Alsatian but it has to be proved. Please, please be carefull when out with your dogs.

Nikki please could you give a does tiptoe of the dog who it was with and where exactly it happened

Up-date

At this moment Louis the dog is going through a blood transfusion.
This is the 2nd attack reported to the vets ( San Anton ) on ESCUERA.
At the moment it is not looking good for Louis.
Where are these laws about dogs on leads and leads being a certain length going to be enforced.
If this had been a small child being attacked by this dog everyone would be shouting blue murder. Just because, this was a poor dog it makes no difference.
Please all give a thought for Nicky, Barbara, terry and Alex as this was a rescue dog.

I'm not sure if it was an Alsatian or German shep. It is long haired and the usual brown/tan /black colouring.the owner was probably in her forties may be early fifties, spanish, slim build with shoulder length brown curly hair. They live on Escuera not far from us. I don't want to give their door number until we have been to the police and know where we stand. For those who know Escuera we are on the inner circle. They even have a sign on the gate saying beware of the dog so why take it out without a lead? Or maybe it escaped I don't know.
