thanks boys. We really are desperate. Anybody who sees him for more than 10 minutes will want him. I got my rescue dog in UK 7 years ago. I'm afraid she's very spoiled and doesn't like sharing us but we're also far too old for a baby. I'm hoping maybe someone on their own could take him. He's a wonderful little dog. Very bright and could be easily trained to do tricks etc. We're terribly worried about him. x

Everybody seems to be talking about Sonny, so what with this forum and word of mouth let's hope he finds a loving home very soon............

Hi Ian, unfortunately no new mummy or daddy has come forward for this lovely boy. We've heard of someone looking for a new dog but we've had no news yet. Everybody who sees him says how cute he is. He's shown us a funny trick. If we want him to go in the house and he doesn't want to he lies on his back and it just makes us laugh. He's settled with us very well, so we know he'll settle elsewhere. We love him but we're just too old for a baby but we're going to hang on to him to we get him placed. He's too lovely to be put in kennels and he deserves a home of his own. Please keep asking around. If anyone takes him and finds they can't cope, we'll have him back but to know him is to love him xx

Surely there are more interesting items, events or even gossip than this dog. I would imagine that if anyone had been interested, they would have been in touch by now.

This is far more serious than the attempted theft. I insist on having "Me Time" every day. About midday I go into my little garden with a good book a vodka red bull and a beer. For about 2 hours I totally indulge myself. Sonny comes and sits under my chair. Before he came here he was allowed to roam the streets but here we only take him out on a lead. This morning when I was going for my "Me Time" I noticed the dog next door had opened their gate and although he's a lovely dog and on a chain he's a rather large Alsation and I know people can find him intimidating. Being a good neighbour I went to tell him off and close the gate. When I got back I didn't realise I hadn't closed our gate properly till I heard the lovely Mr Smith shouting "No don't. Come back". The little sod had seen freedom and made a run for it. We jumped in the car, I still had my reading spex on so classified as almost blind and followed where we thought he had gone. I thought I spotted him at one time but it turned out to be a white carrier bag. We drove round for a while, asking people to look for him. We were very upset. This was much worse than those clowns trying to get Noel's wallet. However, it's a happy ending. Noel walked up the road and matey was on his way back. A happy ending thankfully. At times we're shown what real priorities are xx

My goodness David. Where's your soul? Animals need us as they can't fend for themselves. We have 4 kids with partners and 10 grandkids but there's still a place in our lives for a little dog who needs caring for. Do I take it you're not thinking of re homing him. Keep well and happy xx
