spanish social securty

There are mny questions asked about is there not help from the government for, say, childrens homes, etc. The short answer is that the UK is 1way ahead- way, way ahead, in helping the underprivileged, down and out, and so on. British social history is not taught in schools, and this, along with media addiction to negativity, means we dont celebrate just what a brilliant social structure Britian has. Living in Spain makes you realise it IS a fo3reign country. Spain has NOT had the social reformers such as in Victorian times in UK, nor the massive donations of money from enlightened industrialists that built art galleries university wings, parks, endowed hospitals and so on. I live in deep spain, mountains, and the people are tough, independent, and with close families. Having my share of tragedy, I have experienced both the support of England, and the lack of any safety net in Spain. Anyone buying through me in the next 3 months from this site do mention this blog- I will donate 30% of my commission to any established charity working with people in the area who asks (list opèn til Feb 21st., donations til May 21st, cash split between parties amicably according to need).
