General strike on 29th
The trade unions have held several rallies in preparation for the general strike on the 29th of this month
Posted this just incase anyone had flights booked etc
Does anyone have anymore details on this, I have my Mum arriving here on Thursday?
Eve has her family arriving as well. I do hope everyone gets here ok without too much delay

Thank you again Golfer, my Mum has spoke to Birmingham Airport and her flight is still scheduled to fly in the morning.
Seems it is affecting Madrid and large cities here in Spain.
No prob's hope you have a good flight, I think it's quite warm in the UK, so you won't need your thermals.

My niece has rung Easyjet and they could not tell her anything. They said just go to the airport and hope for the best. They may not get on a flight the next day. Of all the times to strike. We just have to hope for the best. I am glad my daughter is arriving tonight.
I am not going to the UK Golfer, my Mum is coming here for a month.
Fingers crossed Eve that all will be ok.

Mum loves singing lol, she arrived 10 mins early, but took an hour to come through, due to the strikes and workers apparently working to rule.
Flight leaving Alicante are affected though.

Just brcause she is Welsh does not mean she can sing, although, must admit most of them can, especially in the valley's. Mind you they can play rugger, got the injuries to prove it as well.
Never been called a roadie before, and I am also Welsh, but I defo cannot sing, but Mum loves singing.

Golfer she can sing but, I'm not sure about the Rugby. Perhaps we can artrange a match ladies verses Gents, before she goes home. On second thoughts we will give it a miss.
