I am enclosing the link for a very good selection of properties on La Marina urb that your friend can browse through. Just pick a property you like and click into the Prices & Availability section to see if your dates are available. Then you just book on line with the owners.

All those properties are privately owned and need to be booked on the system. This makes sure that double bookings do not happen.
Cheers Ian. I just read a lot about people who claim to be renting out properties and then money is handed over and no one exists.
As I'd rather do it through a estate agent than private.
