San Fulgencio 10k run

Thanx ian,...what a joke, i was supposed to be going to work this morning and made the fatal mistake of calling at the papershop by super value before the race had started, i was then lead a merry dance round all the back streets of the urb by the stewards only to find that the end of the road they were directing me down was also blocked off by barriers, after over an hour the only way i could manage to get through it was to drive the wrong way down calle lisboa and come out by the back of the market,...needless to say that there was no point even bothering to go to work as i was running so late,...but it didnt stop there,...from the market area i then proceeded down the road past the church, to get told i couldn't turn left to head towards the grey area or straight on to head towards consum square, i could only turn right heading back towards all the confusion i had just managed to get away from,....i'm not moaning about the race itself, i think the idea of it is good,...but there is no planning what so ever, and the stewards do not know their arse from their elbow, what a waste of my time and petrol and to top it off have no wages for the day.....nice one 80/

It's a shame the council have no idea of giving people a warning. They go around sticking there posters up and so on but don't let people know the entire Urb is closed off. Funny thing is the Marathon is a great idea and the council take all the credit for this when in fact it was a idea proposed by a member of the San Fulgencio footie club just after this coalition took office regarding how the marathon was introduced.
So if it weren't for Barry and his Marathon idea it probably would never of been happening.
