Can someone please tell me, is cagney closing, as this morning I was told that Kate had told my friend that they were closing if so this is sad as it is one of the best bars on the urb
Hi guys, thank you for asking after us and thank you to everyone who has said such lovely things about Cagney's bar on this forum recently.
We are still open but we had a big shock at the start of the weekend when I discovered several large sums of money have been disappearing from our business bank account, with no explanation or reference. We have had a very distressing few days believing the business was on the brink of collapse. This morning I've had a meeting with my bank manager, only to find another payment been taken today. A block has now been put on the account to prevent further monies being taken until its sorted. I've been given lots of good advice and told not to worry as they are here to help us. I am with the Deutsche Bank on the main strip and have always found them to be so helpful.
We are still very anguished by all this but are trying our hardest to keep Cagney's alive and kicking.
Down but definitely not out.
We will keep you updated well in advance if there are to be any changes to Cagneys Bar so please do continue to support us.

I was at Cagneys third anniversary,just over a week ago,up until then Rickey stated his lease had two more years to run,but further added,that they expect to renew it for a further five years.
Kate wrote on this forum just a few days ago,in reply to the Hogs Head, whic stated that the Hogs Head was not closing despite rumours to the contrary.Kate then commented that rumours passed by people to other people,were also saying Cagneys was closing and this she denied,I cant see any reason that any of these people (kate,Rickey or the Hogs head9 should bother to deny the closure,if in fact they were true,Except to say the jungle Telegragh,plays long and loud in La Marina Urb,it is just a shame that the people who operate the drums,do not realise what damage to Bars by repeating these mostly innocuous rumours.
Now is the time to help these owners not try to kill them off
