Speed limits

I would like to add that I am also a pro Jeff person and in my previous post when I mentioned Jeff it was not that he showed no interest it was more that he offered no solutions. I believe Jeff tries a lot harder than people give him credit for and with the money restrictions he works under it makes things much harder to achieve, I also think he gets the blame for things he has no control over. I have now been told the junctions and the speeding signs are going to be painted in the next two days so watch this space and please give some credit to our council, I am sure it would work for the benifit of us all and would make a nice change from being critical.

I hope that I have made no spelling mistakes. Ha Ha...

Trevor have I got to grovel lol, I am pleased the issue has been resolved and as I said on your initial post this is a particularly bad junction and certainly merits a 30kpk and decent road markings. I also noted your point re Jeff and agree.

I would just like to say, being a councilor is not an easy job when funds are in short supply and so many people find it very easy to be critical, when the elections come round let some of these who are quick to critisise put their name in the hat and see if they can do better. He is just one man and reading this forum he seems to get little support, how many of you good people would like to find yourselves in such a position I know that I would not so give him a break..........

I am one of the people, who has been known to have a pop at Jeff,I have also praised him, when I believe he had done more than what was necessary. But please Trevor I find your last comment a bit strange, when you insinuate that he found himself in the position he finds himself,Surely by putting himself up as a potential Councillor, and then accepting the position he was offered,He put himself up for the job,no one forced him.

Ok here goes
Please look at the urb -its going downhill fast
Next look at the councillor for the areas comments on his blog
He has reverted to type and uses the law as a mask for his own shortcomings I would imagine this is a well rehearsed behaviour
Look at the man observe the body language and make your own mind up from there
Spanish politics are corrupt we know that but speak with former associates of the councillor and listen carefully to gain insight to the fundementals of someone who is what is known as a judas in known circles
Look at the urb and hope that the next incumbent is more in tune with looking forward than pontificating over the various events
This urb needs a fast moving forward thinking councillor not 1 who will make unknownsums of money from his time in power
The expenses enquiry is not lost on the good people of this urbanisation

I do not know which part of the urb you live in but from my point of view the urb is certainy no worse than it was when I first came here six years ago and in some places I believe it is slightly better, considering all the debt inherited from the previous council I think that is an achievement and should be praised. I would hate to be in Jeffs position as it must be awful to be constantly critisised when you put a lot of hard work in to doing the best you can, If you feel you can do better why not stand for election, who ever is in office always gets critisism because all people have different needs and when those needs are not satisfied lets all call the councilor most known to us, the soft option in my opinion, there are problems in most places around the world due to the financial climate and La Marina has to accept that it will be quite a while before things improve but there are many places worse than this.

The urb is not the greatest place nor the worst, but IF you take the job of councilor (no one forces it upon you) then expect the flak and fall out along with the praise and freebies /wages /expenses etc while doing the job, BUT you should be truthful and honest not side step things, and DO as you preach not what you would like others to do and support those that do,not those establishments that have live music karaoke etc in there bars after the recommended midnight time.THAT does not stand you in good stead.
