Part Time Work
An Artiste here on the Costa Blanca South is looking for a part time Rodie. Would involve taking stage gear into venue setting it up,plus taking it away at the end of the Gig. Plus on that evening playing background music in the Artistes break. And acting as compare to introduce the act. Person must be able to drive and have own car. Gigs are normally over the weekend and mainly in the evening. Small Remuneration is available. Would suit a fairly smart active retired person looking for an interest. In first instance send a few details about yourself including if possible your land line number to firstname.lastname@example.org
Just to say that this posting was and is a genuine request. Much to my surprise response has been almost non existent. Seems that the Silver Surfers out here are not looking to earn an extra bob or two. So perhaps it is a younger person that could be interested? Keep in mind that this should not interfere with that persons daytime job. I would like to thank the many people who have made the effort and have passed this around their group of friends. So perhaps a younger Wiz Kid could be what is needed. Please come back on email@example.com
I think the small remuneration and have own transport doesn't really sell it well.
Point taken Marko. But the small remuneration was added on purpose in case a person got the idea that it is a get rich type job, it is not, but remuneration depending on gigs each would be well worth having. But own transport is a must have.
Myself and my wife are moving to Sitges area in late summer, although you are probably looking for someone now.
We are both musicians and I am able to Roadie so maybe keep me as a contact for later in the year?
Thank you for the reply. But the Artiste is really in need of a Rodie now rather than later. Plus They will hopefully find someone in the local area not sure if you realise it but Sitges is Salou and that is about a 5 hour drive from this area. Wishing you all the best when you do come over to Spain.
just a thought (respectfully) it may be the small remuneration that's the problem. Anti social hours, plus own car, plus comparing and backing duties is no small job and with the best will in the world even a genuinely interested party would be looking for a fair salary. Not least because once you make the commitment to support someone is this way the role brings its own responsibility even taking a night off is not that easy when someone else is depending on you for support.
My hubby has been a front man in a band for years and while his is a hectic schedule and I do accept the job to which you refer is not quite as busy, nonetheless I know from experience roadies are worth their weight in gold. Added to this when they're not the main entertainer they're not always as committed hence its usually the money that keeps them there for what can at times, be a thankless task.
Hope this helps shed a little light bearing in mind it is just my opinion
