Santa Pola fiestas 2026: the Desfile Multicolor route and music nights

Santa Pola's 2026 patronal and Moros y Cristianos fiestas ran from the opening proclamation on 31 August to the final fireworks after midnight on 8 September. The programme moved through three distinct moods: staged reconquest around the fortress, neighbourhood festivities and two days devoted to the Virgen de Loreto. The Desfile Multicolor on Sunday 6 September was the exuberant hinge between them.

The parade began at 20:30 at El Palmeral. Comparsas and dance academies then followed Calle Elche to Plaza de la Glorieta, turned through Calle Muelle and Avenida Fernando Pérez Ojeda, and finished at the corner with Calle San Antonio. It reused the same central corridor as the grand Moros y Cristianos entry on 3 September, making the route easy to understand even after the barriers disappeared.

This was not a second historical pageant. The Multicolor is the popular, comic and choreographed night: decorated floats, dance groups and costumes created by local comparsas, with the Comparsa Pescadores carrying a tradition that the council traces to the 1960s. The official route diagram on this page is schematic, but its stops and order follow the published 2026 programme.

Two music venues, not one

The Auditorio El Palmeral hosted Música y Baile throughout the fiesta week, usually at 21:30 and at 22:30 on the parade night. It sits beside the parade's starting point, so on 6 September the audience could remain there for music and dancing after the final groups had left the park.

The municipal barraca was elsewhere: at the park on Calle Pintor Sorolla (AKA Parque Sorolla, Parque Paola, Parque Gitano). Its free Nits de Festa programme opened at 22:30 nightly from 31 August to 7 September; on 6 September the act was Magic Queen Alive, a Queen tribute, followed on 7 September by Neón Party.

Use the route without getting trapped

• Arrive before 20:00 if you want a position near El Palmeral or the Glorieta.
• Do not plan to drive across Calle Elche, Muelle or Pérez Ojeda while barriers and crowds are in place.
• For the later concert, Parque Sorolla, Parque Paola and Parque Gitano all point to the park on Calle Pintor Sorolla.
• Expect noise, dense crowds and fireworks; choose a side street or the edge of El Palmeral if anyone in your group needs an easier exit.

What repeats and what belonged to 2026

Santa Pola normally celebrates from 31 August to 8 September, and the Multicolor traditionally falls on the night of the 6th. Performers, exact times, safety measures and even the route can change. Treat the dates and artists above as a record of 2026, not as a timetable for a future edition.
