I will pick the tickets up for the great night on Sunday from S.A.T.s and I will keep some here if anyone wants to contact me for tickets [email protected], I will also take some up to the S.A.T. charity shop at the top of the urbanization on Monday and give some to Palo at the La Marina Sports complex.

When you collect your ticket, can you please let the person know whether you will want chicken or fish please.

I must be honest weejohn, I was beginning to think the same myself. 9 out of 10 facebook notifications I get contain dogs, fat club/fatclub weigh ins, dinner dances for sats and various events in aloha or la marina sports complex (not that I'm knocking aloha or la marina sports complex) in aid of dogs, cats and sats, and now as you say I'm getting inundated with more notifications on pet and house sitting...I think she needs to change her name to Noah! all we need now is a tsunami....lol

Back off and leave Linda alone, shes got the communal spirit (some times a drop to much) if you don't like the post don read IT

Must admit 2nd Casa I agree with you. Far to few of us have her get up and go. A few more like her would help us all. Keep it up Girl.

Linda does raise a lot of money for SATS and needs to be commended not slated for the hard work she does.

I thought SL is about giving out information. Linda and others do a good job of letting people know what events are happening on the urb.
All of theses people are doing a good job of promoting the urb. well done all keep it up.
Linda take not one bit of notices of the people putting you down they really should take a leaf out of your book, and attempt to do something worth while instead of decrying good people like yourself .

just for information could some one let me know if you have to be registered to be a dog sitter if so were would I do that.

I was not putting Linda down merely making a point it is taking over this page. There is an Events section for all these events Linda puts on. Some say don't read them I can't block them on the wall like other forums. I am interested in people and peoples welfare. And would point out a dog owner and pet lover but come on it's over the top especially on the Urb to the point I'm sure people from around who don't live here are bringing pets to dump on the Urb. Please don't be offended and if I offended Linda apologies .

take no notice of the knockers Linda, you do an amazing job of trying to find good homes for dogs, and helping overweight ladies address the issue and do something about it. I for one am a member of your group, and through it met a lot of like minded ladies, all friendly and welcoming, plus I have an incentive to stick to my diet, because of the weigh in.
Keep up the good work, to me you are an amazing lady who constantly strives to make La Marina a better place to live on.

I will continue to put everything I am doing on here, and to go back to the event this is promoting, I have already sold 60 tickets.

good for you Linda, some people beggar belief how they judge others as if they have every right to.
I do know someone who did home dog sitting, if you want ther details, as I do not want to announce anything on here that some people will take exception to.

Linda does loads and loads from good causes in la marina, her efforts are tireless. her own time and sometimes her own money. Some people on here have so much time on their hands, all they can do is knock people who do thier very best. Pity more people didnt make the effort. Then maybe they would have less time to moan and pick on people on here. Everyone knows who i am so if you put a nasty coment on at least tell people who you are. Linda keep up the good work.

I do appreciate that you probably do some very good work but I am afraid that people come first in my estimation and always will. For that reason I only support DEBRA who do wonderful work for what is called "Butterfly" disease. With regard to all the animal charities may I respectfully request that they also look at the other side of dog ownership. I have what used to be a beautiful verde with all sorts of coloured flowers covering it. It has, however, become "a dog toilet" like many other similar areas on La Marina. Admitedly, over the past couple of years, some owners have picked up their dog mess and removed it from the area but there are still loads who do not. As anyone with a bit of knowledge will be aware, this can cause disease if touched unknowingly. People used to just simply walk through the verde and their children suied to play there at times, but no more. It is simply not safe for them to allow their children here for fear oif infection from faeces left behind. I have on occasions politely asked owners to pick up their dogs mess but have been met with a torrent of abuse. Even if they do pick up, it still leaves a horrid smell which in turn attracts flies. It is so bad in the summer that I cannot use my lovely terrace which overlooks this area as I get plagued with flies. Besides, who wants to sit out and watch a contant stream of dogs being lead around to do their business and may I add - where other people live. I have mentioned that if it does not smell and the owner clears it away that is perfectly acceptable. If so, please ask them to let their dogs foul their gardens and clear it up. They will soon notice that, yes, it does and I hope if they do this they will also be plagued with flies like I am. Before you say anything about hating dogs. On the contrary, I love dogs. It is the irresponsible owners that are the problem. Dogs will simply do their business where they are taken, It would just be great if they would keep it on their own doorsteps for a change because I am fed up having to put up woth it and I am not alone in this by any means.
