Description
Hello, our lovely traditional spacious holiday villa is set in a quiet residential area within walking distance of the village of Los Montesinos. Lying just north of the Torrevieja salt lake. Los Montesinos is one of the Vega Baja villages of the Southern Costa Blanca. The villa has a double and a twin room with a sofa bed in the lounge. 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, large sun terrace, BBQ and English television. Use of a communal pool and beautiful views over the salt lake.
The villa is our second home and therefore has the feel of a home rather than a rental property. It contains everything you will need for a relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of life. The neighbours are mostly residence and our friends and will make you feel most welcome. All We ask is that the property is treated as you would expect your own property to be treated.

Changeover day
At busy times of the year I would ask that the property is vacated by 12:00 noon and arrivals after 16:00 please, but this again is flexible depending on bookings.
Accommodation
Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 has a double bed and air-conditioning.
Bedroom 2: has twin beds no air con but ceiling a fan in the room.
Lounge: has a sofa bed ideal for 1 person and air-conditioning.
Bathrooms: Bathroom 1 has a bath / shower along with wc, B-day and sink.
Bathroom 2: has a shower room, wc and a sink.
Kitchen: Kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, hob, fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine, pots and pans, cutlery etc.
Utility Room: In the utility room you will find everything you need from cleaning equipment (but who wants to clean on holiday)! and a BBQ (that's more like it)!
Living Rooms: The lounge dining room is open plan, with table and chairs and a sofa. There is a television which has English TV and a radio. The sofa converts to a bed suitable for 1 person and the room can be kept cool with air-conditioning.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service: Bedding, linen and towels are all provided and the property will be cleaned prior to your arrival. The property will not be cleaned during your stay and washing facilities are provided for bedding and towels if required.
Notes on accommodation
The villa is set in an ideal location for families as there is little to no passing traffic. The pool is a 1 minute walk away and is fenced in. The main bedroom and lounge both have air-conditioning and as the villa is traditionally built it naturally stays cool. The windows all have security blinds that also can keep the midday sun out of the building.
Accessibility
The property has not been adapted for wheelchair users. It has a step up to the front door and stairs leading to the sun terrace therefore I would say that it was probably not suitable for wheelchair users.
Outside
The front patio is ideal for breakfast as it get the sun early on. There is a large table and chairs with an umbrella and it is also perfect for an end of day beer. The BBQ is portable and can be moved into the rear patio area or onto the sun terrace. The pool is about 20 meters by 10 meters and is communal however it is never busy, always clean and is fenced. The sun terrace is on the roof of the villa and is a sun trap all day. It has lovely views of the salt lake and there are sun beds and tables and chairs with an umbrella to escape the heat.
Coast/Beach
There are 17km of blue flag beaches along the coast from Torrevieja to Guardamar just 15 minutes away and the warm water and therapeutic mud spa's of the Mar Menor are worth the 30 minute drive.
Golf
The championship golf course of La Finca is about 15 minutes away and a further 5 golf courses nearby.
Special interest holidays
The salt lake is very close by and is an excellent place to view wildlife.
Travel
You can fly into either Murcia or Alicante airports both are about a 30 minute drive. I would recommend a car as there is plenty to see and do. If you intend to sit and sunbathe and read all day to escape the world then I would recommend a taxi from the airport and food shopping can be done locally on foot.
Distances
Los Montesinos is about a 15 minute walk. It has all you need with its local supermarket, bars, cafes and restaurants. Further a field Torrevieja is about a 15 minute drive and Alicante is about 30 minutes.
Further details
The lakes and nearby mountain areas are ideal for walking, cycling or birdwatching. Torrevieja has a large commercial shopping centre with international restaurants, bowling and an aqua park. Local markets to be found in all the nearby towns.

I will ask for a £75 deposit at the time of booking and the final payment 1 month prior to the booking date. We are very flexible with regards to bookings and will accept any length of time arriving and departing on the day of your choice giving you the flexibility to plan your holiday around your flights in order to get the best prices.
Owner profile: About the owner
Hello, my name is Trevor and I am advertising this property on behalf of my mother, Angela. We have owned the villa for 4 years now but it was never intended to be a rental villa. Mum and dad bought it with the intention of spending their retirement in the sun. Unfortunately not long after buying the property dad was diagnosed with Cancer and he died a short while ago. The reason I’m telling you this is to emphasise that this villa is a family home as opposed to a purpose built holiday rental. It is full of homely touches in a very quiet residential area, perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle. And true to my fathers philosophy in life it is far enough from the main tourist areas so you feel you are in real Spain but not so far away that you feel isolated.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
As mentioned mum and dad bought this villa with the intention of retiring in the sun. My dad hated touristy places and always wanted to experience the real part of any country. This villa was chosen for it's peace and quiet in a lovely residential area not far from the village of Los Montesinos. The neighbours are absolutely lovely and the village is a short walk away. However the access roads to and from the airport and the larger towns of Torrevieja and Alicante are very good indeed.
Unique benefits of the property
The benefits of staying in our property are that it is a home from home. It has all the charm of a traditional Spanish villa with all the comforts of a fully equipped kitchen, comfy lounge area with English television, roof terrace which is a sun trap all day long and with views over the salt lake. Fantastic neighbours who will be more than happy to recommend a restaurant. A communal pool which in my experience is always clean and never busy plus a traditional Spanish village a short walk away. There are also 17km of blue flag beaches along the coast from Torrevieja which is a 15 minute drive away. The airports of Alicante and Murcia are just 30 minutes away and the roads to and from are never busy.
